Under Horticulture Centre, Dinajpur, under the Department of Agricultural Extension of the Government at Dinajpur district, it was established in 1978 at 4.0 hectares in Haji Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Bansherhat, Dinajpur Chatta. At the time of establishment of Haji Mohammad Danesh Agricultural College (now Habiprabi) in 1988, the centre was transferred to the centre of the entire land and then in the first place in the field of Khamarbari in Balubari and then in 1992-93, the plant conservation (PP) 30 acres were transferred to the land and the main activities of the centre are still going on at that place. Ownership of the land is now owned by Sadar Upazila Parishad and Owner Horticulture Centre Old P.P. here Production and distribution of seedlings / grafts in 4/5 rooms of Godown is going on in the office, training and only 0.50 acres of land. In addition, a mothergarden was established at 0.50 acres of land in Gobindapur of sadar upazila. At present the centre has preserved various varieties of fruit and flowers of the country. Horticulture Centre Dinajpur has been providing training for establishment of farmers' agriculture, mushroom cultivation and nursery in greater Dinajpur district since 1978. In spite of which, the demand of seedlings / grafts / seedlings, fruit bagnage and production increased in multiples in the district compared to the previous. Besides, the production quality seedlings are being supplied in three districts of greater Dinajpur. In this context, development activities of the centre are being conducted efficiently in 5.00 hectares transferred from cotton seed cultivation and training in Sadarpur, Sadar upazila.
